Kadokawa has announced that En Mikami's Antiquarian Bookshop Biblia's Case Files novel series will receive a television anime adaptation in 2027, produced by Studio CloverWorks. The anime will be directed by Mamoru Kanbe, known for his work on SHOSHIMIN: How to become Ordinary and The Perfect Insider. Toshiya Ono, who collaborated with Kanbe on those titles, is writing the series scripts. Character designs and chief animation direction will be handled by Jun Nakai, with Takahiro Obata composing the music.

The voice cast includes Riko Akechi as Shioriko Shinokawa and Shunsuke Takeuchi as Daisuke Gōra. The story centers on Shioriko, the proprietor of the Biblia Antiquarian Bookshop, and her assistant Daisuke. Despite his difficulty reading, Daisuke aids the demure and introverted Shioriko, a vintage book expert with exceptional deductive skills, as they solve mysteries connected to rare books.

This marks the first anime adaptation for the popular mystery series, which has sold over 6.4 million copies since its 2011 debut. The novels have been recognized with nominations for the Japan Mystery Writers Association Award. Previously, the series inspired a live-action television drama in 2013 and a live-action film in 2018. An anime film adaptation was also announced in 2017 but never materialized.
