Japanese animation studio Felix Film has modified a job listing for new graduates, shifting the focus of its technology requirements. According to a report by Anime News Network, the studio updated the posting on Saturday to remove a requirement that applicants be able to create illustrations using image generative AI. The listing, which targets students graduating next spring, now highlights the use of Blender and other 3D CG tools to expand the scope of artistic expression in key animation.

In a statement released alongside the edit, Felix Film clarified that it has not yet decided to implement generative AI for image production. The studio noted that it is currently studying the technology's potential to support, rather than replace, its creative staff. Furthermore, the studio addressed concerns regarding intellectual property, stating that any future adoption of generative AI would involve a careful review of copyright issues and the potential impact on the studio's operations.

Felix Film has a history of production roles in various anime projects, including animation production for Aharen-san wa Hakarenai and MF Ghost, as well as production assistance for Eiga Precure All Stars F and I want to eat your pancreas.
