Anime NYC has unveiled a significant lineup of programming for its upcoming event on August 22, headlined by a dedicated showcase for the Macross franchise. Big West will lead the panel, providing fans with updates on future projects and merchandise. The session will also feature an English-subtitled screening of Macross Delta the Movie: Passionate Walkūre, a compilation film that expands upon the original Macross Delta television series with new narrative sequences and musical additions.
The convention will also serve as a stage for the English-language debut of the Go Forward (Massugu ni Ikō) anime. SkySet Entertainment is hosting a premiere screening of the first dubbed episode, followed by a Q&A session with director Phebe Fabacher. This release marks a return to the spotlight for the 2003 series and its 2004 sequel, Massugu ni Ikō: Melon Pan-hen, both of which are slated for a broader English-dubbed release later this summer.
Rounding out the announcements is the world premiere of the English dub for Detective Conan: The Million-Dollar Pentagram. As the 27th entry in the long-running mystery franchise, the film has already achieved massive success in Japan, where it currently stands as the highest-grossing installment in the series' history. Following its record-breaking domestic performance and a recent U.S. premiere at Anime Expo, this screening offers another opportunity for North American audiences to experience the latest cinematic chapter in the Detective Conan saga.
