Anime Expo 2026 has revealed plans to host a special "JAPAN MUSIC VOCALOID Powered by DWANGO" event on July 4. The music-focused showcase will feature a lineup of notable artists including kz (Livetune), TeddyLoid, Hachiōji-P, picco, and SatapanP. Entry to this event is included with general Anime Expo admission.

In addition to the music programming, the convention will welcome veteran manga creator Kazuo Maekawa. With over three decades of experience, Maekawa is recognized for his work on the manga adaptations of Miles Edgeworth: Ace Attorney and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. He also leads manga workshops internationally and heads Manga Dojo Tokyo.

Further adding to the guest roster, illustrator and character designer karory will be present. karory is known for their work on the light novel series The Case of Me, a Tutor for Noble People in a Dress. The convention also previously announced appearances by illustrator Yoshitaka Amano and idol Yurapico.
