The upcoming television anime adaptation of Amayo no Tsuki (The Moon on a Rainy Night) has provided a significant update, confirming its lead voice cast and a 2027 premiere window. The announcement was accompanied by the series' first promotional video, offering an early look at the production's visual direction under director Tomoe Makino at studio CompTown.
Sora Amamiya, known for her role in Nijusseiki Denki Mokuroku, will voice Kanon Oikawa, while Iori Saeki, who appeared in Pon no Michi, is set to portray Saki Kindaichi. The production team also includes series composer Shougo Yasukawa and character designer Ayumi Nishihata, with musical contributions provided by the band jizue.
Kuzushiroβs original manga, a girls' love drama, has been a fixture on the Comic Days website since 2021, with 12 volumes currently published in Japan. Kodansha USA manages the English-language release, which has reached eight volumes as of late 2025. With the premiere still over a year away, the extended production timeline suggests a deliberate pace for the adaptation of this character-driven series. Given the 2027 window, it remains to be seen how the studio will balance the manga's ongoing serialization with the anime's narrative arc.
