Always a Catch! (Nigashita Sakana wa Ōkikatta ga Tsuriageta Sakana ga Ōkisugita Ken), the television anime adaptation of Mayo Momoyo's light novel series, has added Yūko Kaida to its voice cast. Kaida will portray Queen Rubini, the mother of characters Renato and Placido.
The romantic comedy follows Maria, a duke's daughter who trained in martial arts, only to lose her inheritance to a younger brother. Seeking marriage, she studies abroad and finds herself mistaken for someone else by a prince, who ultimately becomes intrigued by her combat skills. The series stars Yū Serizawa as Maria Annovazzi and Atsushi Tamaru as Renato di Rubini.
Animation is being produced by TROYCA, with Akira Oguro directing. Michiko Yokote is handling series scripts, and Isamu Suzuki is designing the characters. The anime premiered on April 1 on Tokyo MX and BS 11.
The opening theme song "Chikai wa Kyun to" is performed by HoneyWorks feat. Airi Suzuki, while Yoshino sings the ending theme "DEAD OR LOVE."
