The television anime adaptation of Mayo Momoyo's Always a Catch! light novel series has added Daiki Hamano and Wataru Komada to its cast. Hamano will voice Goffredo and Komada will voice Macchio, both depicted as loyal servants to the Annovazzi family. These characters made their debut in the fifth episode of the series, which aired on April 29.
Always a Catch! centers on Maria Annovazzi, the daughter of a duke, who trained in martial arts expecting to inherit her father's title. However, the arrival of a younger brother jeopardizes her inheritance, prompting her to seek marriage. Her search leads her abroad, where the crown prince mistakenly cancels their engagement. The situation takes a turn when the prince witnesses Maria's combat prowess, revealing his attraction to strong women.
The anime features Yū Serizawa as Maria, Atsushi Tamaru as Renato di Rubini, and Saori Hayami as Aida Amethis. Akira Oguro directs the series at TROYCA, with Michiko Yokote handling scripts and Isamu Suzuki on character designs. The opening theme is "Chikai wa Kyun to" by HoneyWorks feat. Airi Suzuki, and the ending theme is "DEAD OR LOVE" by Yoshino.
The series premiered on April 1, broadcasting on Tokyo MX and BS 11. The original light novel began as a web novel on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2020, with a sequel series also starting that year. Square Enix began publishing the novels with illustrations by Mito in 2021. The manga adaptation, illustrated by Kaki Nagato, launched in April 2022 and is available in English digitally through Square Enix's Manga UP! Global, BookWalker Global Store, and Comikey.
