TV Asahi has confirmed that the second season of the Akane-banashi anime will premiere in January 2027. The announcement included a new teaser trailer and key visual, alongside the introduction of additional cast members. Joining the production are Taku Yashiro as Asagao Konjakutei and Yōji Ueda as Hassho Tsubakiya. The upcoming season is set to adapt the Zenza Arc, following Akane Arakawa's formal entry into Shiguma's school and her training at the Yasaka-tei theater.
