AI animation firm Puri Prince has announced its latest project, a short anime series titled Dennō Isu Tantei Charlotte Dead Man's Hand (Cyber-Chair Detective Charlotte: Dead Man's Hand). This new series is an extension of the company's anime endeavors and is based on noriyang's web novel, Dennō Isu Tantei Charlotte.
The anime is described as a "story of records" co-created by AI and humans, set in a near future where all occurrences are digitally logged. The plot centers on a young detective named Charlotte, who solves cases remotely from her chair, alongside her AI partner W.A.T.S.O.N. Together, they investigate mysterious game records at a cyber casino where the winner's identity vanishes from the official logs.
Key cast members have been revealed for the series. Hina Yomiya takes on the role of Charlotte, while Tomokazu Sugita voices the AI partner W.A.T.S.O.N. Other cast members include Yotaro Negishi as KUZU, Hideki Kanno as Gomi Juzo, Yō Natsume as Fortune Teller Red, Momoko Mizukawa as MONO.EYE, and Nanami Kashiyama as Matilda, with Tetsuya Sasaki serving as the narrator.
Puri Prince is also developing a full-length feature anime, "Akumu no Fuchi kara," based on a story that won their AI x Web3 animation pitch contest. The company has been collaborating with Creek & River's C&R Creative Studios since 2025 to produce anime for various clients.
