Anime NYC 2026 has revealed a star-studded guest list, headlined by actor Mackenyu, tokusatsu veteran Tetsuo Kurata, and acclaimed author Eiko Kadono. The convention is set to take place from August 20th to August 23rd at the Javits Convention Center.

Mackenyu, known for his role as Roronoa Zoro in the live-action One Piece series and Arata Wataya in the live-action Chihayafuru films, will be attending his first North American event. He is scheduled to participate in a panel discussion and offer paid autograph sessions.

Tetsuo Kurata, famous for portraying Kotaro Minami in the live-action Kamen Rider Black series and performing its theme songs, will meet fans at the Tokuspirits x U7Media x Muteki Sales booth. Eiko Kadono, the original author of the Kiki's Delivery Service novels, will also be a guest of honor. Kadono's first novel, published in 1985, inspired Studio Ghibli's beloved 1989 film adaptation.

These notable guests join previously announced attendees, including director Mokochan (The Ghost in the Shell), editor Shihei Lin (Black Torch), manga creator Tsuyoshi Takaki (Black Torch), singer yama (Daemons of the Shadow Realm), and actor Toshihide Wakamatsu (Chojin Sentai Jetman). Anime NYC moved to an August schedule in 2024 and has expanded to utilize the full Javits Center.
