Voice actor Bill Wise has passed away at the age of 61. His death was confirmed by his agency, Collier Talent Agency, and announced by friends in early May.
Within the anime community, Wise is remembered for his English dub performances. He notably voiced Bunta Fujiwara in the Initial D: Legend movie trilogy. Fans also recall his portrayal of Knuckles in the 1996 Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie OVA.
Wise's other anime credits include Richard Guyot in Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor, Hayato Jin in Getter Robo: Armageddon, Sakon Suzuki in Moeyo Ken, and Rail Claymore in Lost Universe. Beyond anime, he had an extensive career in live-action film and television, taking on numerous smaller roles.
