Bandai Namco Entertainment has dropped a walkthrough trailer for Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve, the latest entry in its modern air combat series. The trailer provides a detailed look at gameplay for the upcoming title.
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve is slated for release on October 2 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Players who pre-order the game will receive Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War as a bonus. The Deluxe Edition of Ace Combat 8 will be available earlier, on September 29.
The franchise's previous installment, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, debuted in January 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, later arriving on PC. An Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Deluxe Edition was also released digitally for Nintendo Switch in July 2024. The series originally began in 1992. Development on the next Ace Combat game was confirmed by producer Kazutoki Kono in 2021.
