Nariaki Narita, known for the series Abyss Rage, has launched his newest manga, Subaru the Invincible (Muteki no Subaru), on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ digital platform. The debut occurred on Sunday, with the MANGA Plus service simultaneously offering an English version.
The story centers on Subaru Kannagi, a high school student making his debut in full-contact karate tournaments. The synopsis hints at hidden depths of power, stating that "at that time, no one had any idea just how powerful he really was..."
Narita's previous work, Abyss Rage, ran on Shonen Jump+ from May 2018 until February 2021. His manga Kinnikujima (Muscle Island) also concluded its run on the platform in 2024. Additionally, Narita is collaborating with artist Shuu Kageyama on Shimatsuya Sลji, which began serialization in Kodansha's Young Magazine in December 2024.
