The second season of A Returner's Magic Should Be Special is set to arrive with a streamlined release schedule. Crunchyroll announced that the English dub will launch simultaneously with the Japanese broadcast, beginning this Wednesday. The dub features a returning cast, with Austin Tindle reprising his role as the protagonist Desir Herman and Anastasia MuΓ±oz returning as Azest.

Production for the new season remains in familiar hands, with director Taishi Kawaguchi back at the helm at Arvo Animation. Takamitsu Kouno is also returning to oversee and write the scripts, while Kenta Higashiohji continues his work on the series' musical score. The production team is rounded out by character designer Hiromi Katō and a returning Japanese voice cast that includes Takuma Terashima as Desir and Asami Seto as Azrest.

This sequel continues the adaptation of the popular webtoon, which follows Desir's desperate mission to prevent the collapse of humanity after being sent thirteen years into his own past. The series has maintained a solid following, currently holding an 85/100 rating on Kitsu as of late September. With the first season having established the stakes of the Shadow World, the return of the original staff suggests a focus on maintaining the tone and visual consistency established in the 2023 debut.
