A Returner's Magic Should Be Special is officially returning to the screen this October, with the production team dropping a new promotional video that highlights the high-stakes time-travel drama ahead. Picking up from the events of the first season, the series continues the story of Desir Herman, who is tasked with preventing the end of humanity after being transported thirteen years into his own past.
Returning to the helm is director Taishi Kawaguchi at Arvo Animation, with series composition once again handled by Takamitsu Kouno. The core voice cast remains unchanged, featuring Takuma Terashima as Desir, Sayumi Suzushiro as Romantica Eru, Natsumi Fujiwara as Pram Schnaizer, and Asami Seto as Azrest Kingscrown. The production is supported by Aniplex, maintaining the visual standard established by the 2023 debut season.
The upcoming season will feature new musical contributions, with the veteran rock band FLOW performing the opening track, "Sorrow," and singer krage providing the ending theme, "Everlasting." Fans in Japan can catch an early look at the premiere during an advance screening event at Shinjuku Wald 9 on October 3, ahead of the show's broadcast debut on Fuji TVβs +Ultra programming block. International viewers will be able to follow the action via Crunchyroll.
