Idea Factory International has revealed the opening movie for the upcoming western launch of the supernatural visual novel 9 R.I.P. sequel. The newly released trailer showcases the game's visual style and introduces the opening theme song, "LOVExMAGiC," performed by Tonari no Sakata.

The game is set to arrive physically and digitally on the Nintendo Switch in 2026. This sequel builds upon the original title by featuring nine distinct routes, including direct continuations of the "Heavenly" and "Godly" endings. New characters have also been introduced to expand the narrative.

Fans can anticipate the return of several voice actors from the original game, with Toshiki Masuda, Ryōta Suzuki, Tetsuya Kakihara, Nobuhiko Okamoto, Shinnosuke Tachibana, KENN, and Yōhei Azakami reprising their roles. Yuuya, the artist behind Cupid Parasite, returns to provide illustrations and character designs, while Amon is directing.

Idea Factory International also detailed the bonus trading card pack that will accompany the Standard Edition of the game. The original 9 R.I.P. visual novel was first released in Japan for the Switch in June 2023 by Otomate, with its English localization arriving in October 2024.
