Mononoke the Movie: Chapter 3: Snake God has unveiled a new trailer ahead of its May 29 Japanese premiere. The third installment of the film trilogy continues the supernatural investigations of the Medicine Seller.

The trailer showcases the latest arc, which will see the Medicine Seller confront a massive snake-like Mononoke. The film's story delves into the dark history of the Ōoku, a secluded inner palace, and a centuries-old resentment that fuels the monstrous entity. The plot involves Empress Sachiko's tragic death and a conspiracy threatening the palace's existence.

Joining the established cast, including Hiroshi Kamiya as the Medicine Seller, are Miyuki Sawashiro as the Third Empress, Fumi Hirano as Tokiwai, Mariko Honda as Kawa, Yukana as Amanotsubone, and Eiji Takemoto as Saku Mizorogi. Aina The End returns to perform the film's theme song, "No Epilogue."

Kenji Nakamura returns as general director, with Tomoaki Koshida directing at Studio Kafka and EOTA. The first film, Mononoke The Movie: Phantom in the Rain, premiered in July 2024 and is streaming on Netflix.
