The second film in the Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway project, The Sorcery of Nymph Circe, grossed an estimated US$810,000 during its opening weekend in the United States. The film landed at #13 in the U.S. box office charts, screening across 894 theaters.
Released in Japan on January 30, the film achieved the top spot in its domestic opening, selling 511,500 tickets and earning approximately US$5.43 million in its first three days. As of March 1, the cumulative Japanese box office for The Sorcery of Nymph Circe reached over US$14.49 million, making it the fourth highest-grossing Gundam film in Japan.
The staff and cast largely returned from the first film, with Yoshinori Sayama handling display designs and Yoshihisa Ōyama serving as compositing director of photography. Manabu Kamitōno directed the visual effects for the sequel.
