A new promotional video has arrived for the 20th anniversary Sgt. Frog film, titled Shin Gekijōban ☆ Keroro Gunsō Fukkatsu Shite Sokkō Chikyū Metsubō no Kiki de Arimasu!. The "Reiwa ni Kero! to Fukkatsu" video introduces Sgt. Frog's platoon and features the previously announced opening theme song, "Mata Kaettekita KERO! to MARCH," performed by singer ano and comedian Soshina. The film is set to premiere in Japan on June 26.

Adding to the excitement, Jesse from the idol group SixTONES will voice two new characters, Aruru and Deruru, who hail from planet Keron and have a past connection to Sgt. Frog's unit. Both ano and Soshina are also lending their voices to the film as guest cast members, playing a researcher robot and a "man in Shibuya," respectively. The film's extensive guest cast also includes Tomokazu Seki as Warrior #7, Natsuki Hanae as Alien, Kōichi Yamadera as Space Police Chief, Keigo Satō and Yūsei Yagi as Shibuya Men, Suzanne as the Kumamoto Announcer, and Rina Watanabe as a Shibuya Woman.

Behind the scenes, Yūichi Fukuda, known for his work on live-action adaptations like Gintama and Saint Young Men, is handling supervising director and scriptwriting duties. Fumitoshi Oizaki directs the anime at Bandai Namco Pictures, with Satoshi Koike serving as character designer. In addition to the opening theme, ano will also perform the film's ending theme, "Kashippanashi Destiny."

Beyond the film, an entirely new Sgt. Frog television anime series, titled Keroro Gunsō ☆, is slated to debut in Fall 2026. This new TV series will feature a fresh cast, while the upcoming film retains the franchise's established voice actors. The original Sgt. Frog anime, based on Mine Yoshizaki's manga, originally aired from 2004 to 2011 and spawned five films. Discotek Media has been releasing the complete series on Blu-ray, with the latest seasons released last year. Source: Anime News Network
