The upcoming 33rd film in the Crayon Shin-chan movie series, titled Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Kikikaikai! Ora no Yōkai Bake-shon, has unveiled three new guest voice actors. The film, scheduled for release in Japan on July 31, 2026, will feature Sairi Itō as Yako, a nine-tailed fox yokai. Comedic duo Mayurika members Sakamoto and Nakatani will voice a Squid Yokai and a Flounder Yokai, respectively, who are part of the Edomae Sushies baseball team.
The story centers on the Nohara family's trip to Akita for a fireworks festival, which is disrupted when yokai escape their realm and cause chaos. The family then ventures into the mysterious land of yokai for an adventure. Masaki Watanabe is directing the film, with Yoshiko Nakamura handling the script. Shinei Animation, TV Asahi, ADK Emotions, and Futabasha are producing, with TOHO distributing.
The main cast includes Yumiko Kobayashi, Miki Narahashi, Toshiyuki Morikawa, and Satomi Koorogi. The previous film, Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Chō Karei! Shakunetsu no Kasukabe Dancers, the 32nd installment, opened in August 2025. The Crayon Shin-chan franchise began in 1992 and continues to air weekly on TV Asahi.
