Square Enix is expanding its café presence with the announcement of its first permanent location in the United States, set to open in Los Angeles. The new establishment will combine a café and shop, offering an authentic menu and official merchandise to fans. Located at 316 East 1st Street in the city's Little Tokyo neighborhood, the U.S. café is slated to open this spring.

This new venue represents a significant step for the company's themed dining and retail ventures in North America. The Los Angeles café will feature menu items and merchandise inspired by various Square Enix properties, allowing fans to immerse themselves in the worlds of their favorite games. J-Pop Culture Café Inc. will manage the operations for this new U.S. venue.

Alongside the Los Angeles opening, Square Enix also revealed plans for a new café and shop in Tokyo's Shinjuku district, situated in the Paselabo Tower. This Tokyo location is expected to open in early summer. These new permanent spots follow the closure of previous pop-up and permanent Square Enix Cafés in Japan, including the Akihabara location that operated for over eight years before closing in March 2025.

Square Enix continues to operate its Artnia café and shop in Shinjuku, as well as the Square Enix Garden merchandise store in Shibuya. Additionally, themed Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy cafés are available at Pasela Resorts locations in Tokyo and Osaka.
