The first film installment of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle arc, titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle - Akaza Sairai, is set to premiere on Crunchyroll on July 28. The announcement, made during Anime Expo, confirms the film will be available worldwide, excluding Japan and Mainland China. Digital purchase options will also launch the same day across platforms like Apple TV, Prime Video, and Google Play.
Fans can expect the film to be offered in its original Japanese with English subtitles, alongside a full English dub. A wide array of additional subtitle and dub languages are also planned, including Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, and Polish, among others.
Released theatrically in Japan on July 18, 2025, the film concluded its extensive 266-day run on April 9, becoming a massive box office hit. It sold over 27 million tickets in Japan, grossing more than 40.2 billion yen (approximately $252.5 million USD). Globally, the film achieved even greater success, with over 98 million tickets sold and a total revenue exceeding 117.9 billion yen (around $740.5 million USD).
This cinematic achievement has garnered significant accolades, including the Best Animated Film award at the 49th Japan Academy Film Prizes and the Animation of the Year—Film award at The Tokyo Anime Award Festival (TAAF). It also secured a nomination for Best Motion Picture - Animated at the 83rd Golden Globes and Best International Animated Film at The Saturn Awards. The film previously achieved the distinction of becoming the highest-earning Japanese film worldwide after surpassing 100 billion yen, and ranked as the seventh top-grossing film globally in 2025.
